Coverage is typically available for: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, United Healthcare, some Cigna plans, and most insurance companies partnered with MultiPlan (check the back of your card for this logo!)
The Lactation Network
I understand that sometimes the financial commitment to getting the help you deserve and need can be a major barrier. This is why I am proud to have partnered with the Lactation Network to provide a way for you to have insurance coverage for your lactation visit.
*For home visits there will be a $30 travel fee
Self Pay
If your insurance does not work with The Lactation Network, payment is due at the time of your consultation. I am happy to accept cash and major credit cards. After our visit, I will provide you with a Super Bill which you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I am happy to provide you with any additional information your insurance provider may request, however I am unable to negotiate directly with your insurance provider.
**Please note – When The Lactation Network notifies you of eligibility and coverage for lactation services, this is their promise that you will not be billed by them (TLN) or by Cincinnati Lactation (outside of the $30 travel fee). After our visits you may receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) that says “you may owe” or “patient responsibility”, this is NOT a bill and you do NOT owe this amount. As an independent contractor working with TLN, I receive a set flat rate for each visit, regardless of insurance payment.
